Our History
Austin & Son Termite & Pest Control was founded around 1959 by Henry Austin, with his son Wilburn working alongside him. Over time, Wilburn took the reins and managed the company for many years, proudly serving South Arkansas. Under his leadership, the company expanded its services beyond pest control to include other ventures.
On January 31, 2022, Brandon and Justin Reed purchased Austin & Son after the passing of Mr. Wilburn. They immediately set to work, retaining the talented staff with over 50 years of combined experience in the pest control industry. The Reeds implemented new processes and software to improve daily operations, making them smoother, more effective, and efficient.
In January 2024, another major milestone was reached when Chris and Amanda Friedman joined the Reed family in a new partnership. Chris assumed the role of Managing Partner, marking a new chapter in the company's growth and development.
While a few faces have changed over the years, our commitment to service and excellence remains unwavering. We continue to proudly serve South Arkansas, including Ashley, Chicot, Drew, Bradley, and Union counties.
